We come here every September and each year there are more campers. They don't take reservations and although it is a large campground, sites with full hook-ups are fewer in number. If they would only invest in more full hook-up sites, it would be a ten. The pull through sites are a bit unlevel but you can't beat the ocean views and the trails through the wild blueberry fields.

What a lovely campground. We had two units and had pull through sites that had us with our doors opposite each other and tons of space in between. Perfect for campers traveling together. The site was relatively level, grassy and had shade trees. We were just steps from river's edge. Camp office personnel were very friendly and helpful. The campground was walking distance to everything in town and very close to the Presidential Range and all the activities it provides. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this campground.

I had driven out to this campground two days before we camped there, to check it out and found that the site was not a drive through as advertised unless you want to drive through a bumpy field. It was also on a down slope, rough and grass. Also the site had not been mowed in some time as the grass was a foot deep. I went to the office to ask that it be mowed before my arrival: it was not! The sewer drain had no cap. The drinking water was brown and the second night, we had no water for 8 hours with no explanations. The cable TV connection at our site was a male connection so I could not hook up without additional parts. There was no shade trees: we were literally in a field. We will not return.

While a bit pricey considering we were there in the middle of September and most amenities were closed, this campground was very nice. The pull through sites were much longer than usual and paved. The camping area was a mile into the woods from the entrance, very quiet. Many of the sites were seasonal but extremely well laid out and well kept. We will return.

Absolutely beautiful campground! The pull through site we had (#110) was a little tight to get into: pole with garbage can a bit close to the road. But the site was level, lots of grass and shade trees for the dogs. The trails were lovely, very quiet campground, we didn't really mind the trains going by. Shuttle service to the casino was spot on. I didn't mind letting my 87-year old mother go out at night to the casino alone! Every one was friendly and helpful. We will be back before the season is over!!

This is the nicest KOA we have stayed in; in fact one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. Nice pull through sites and lots of amenities. The dog walk and dog park is the best ever; if you have pets it's a must stay. Lots to do in the area and Lake Placid is very pet friendly as are the hiking trails. While there visit Jake Placid's Doghouse!

Wonderful hosts, very nice grassy site, level gravel pad, warm swimming pool, well stocked camp store, but best of all the kids loved the dirt pile! We were so impressed we are going back for another week.

Nice KOA; convenient to Erie area but sites were very tight. We were ten feet from our neighbor's sewer connection; it was very near our picnic table in fact. Very noisy, busy KOA . Kids on three wheel pedal bikes zoomed by upset our dogs so we kept them inside. Dog walk was tiny.

Huge grassy site (55) with no campers behind us, just lots of grass for the dogs to romp. The paved pad is quite level and large. The boat launch waterfront is under transition but will be beautiful when completed. Volunteers keep the place in very nice shape and are very friendly. Lots to do in the surrounding area - Wellsboro and Corning.
